Databricks Foundations for Data & Analytics
Databricks Foundations for Data & Analytics is a beginner-friendly, industry-aligned course designed to help learners understand Databricks as a unified lakehouse platform for data engineering, analytics, BI, governance, and AI-ready data workflows.
This course introduces learners to the core Databricks mental model: how workspaces, notebooks, compute, Spark, Delta Lake, Databricks SQL, Unity Catalog, dashboards, jobs, and governance come together to transform raw data into trusted business insights. Learners will understand how to navigate the platform, read and write data, use PySpark DataFrames, build reliable Delta tables, design Bronze–Silver–Gold data layers, query governed data using SQL, and apply production-grade practices for performance, cost, monitoring, and trust.
By the end of the course, learners will be able to think beyond tool usage and understand Databricks as an enterprise data platform. They will gain the confidence to explain lakehouse concepts, work with notebooks and SQL, understand Delta reliability, follow governance principles, and build analytics workflows that are readable, repeatable, auditable, and business-ready.
This course is ideal for students, analysts, aspiring data engineers, BI professionals, and beginners who want to build a strong foundation in modern data platforms and become ready for real-world Databricks-based analytics work.
