Commons works because people feel safe taking part. These rules apply everywhere.

Be a real person
Commons shows your real name. Represent yourself honestly and respect others' identities.

Be kind, disagree well
Challenge ideas, never people. Downvotes are for content that doesn't add to the conversation — not for opinions you dislike.

No harassment or hate
Threats, bullying, slurs and attacks on groups aren't tolerated anywhere on Commons.

Keep it safe and legal
No adult content, no illegal activity, no sharing anyone's private information.

No spam or scams
No unsolicited promotion, link farms, get-rich-quick or 'guaranteed returns' schemes. Financial posts are for education, not tips.

Respect Circle rules
Every Circle can add its own rules. Moderators can remove content and ban members who break them.

Report, don't retaliate
